Post the George Floyd murder, there has been and insurgence of BLACK POWER across the nation. Among all of the sudden “sensitivity” to black lives, we are now recognizing JUNETEENTH.
For those unfamiliar, Juneteenth is the day slaves found out they were free…but were we ever free? Most slaves finally knew they were free in 1865, but 155 years later and millions of lives lost… NOW we MIGHT get a national holiday. Big companies giving us a day off is a start, but we all know they will never give us our true reparations. They owe us millions more.
